I was walking with my playlist promotion coffee mug today and someone asked me about it so I said “scan it”, and they did. The QR code took them to the coffee mug playlists page on submittoplaylists.com
When I first designed the coffee mug artwork I was hoping that it would stand out enough to draw attention and curiosity of people whether I use the mug as a pen holder, donate the mug to a thrift store, or just carry it wherever I go with my coffee. I was excited that the design stood out enough to cause someone to ask about the mug. It has a neat guitar on it and a QR code on the mug. Most people know what QR codes are and general human curiosity or interest in discovering something new and unique makes people willing to scan these codes. This is a fun music promotion campaign and a good conversation starter. I often talk about music in general with people and the topic of music genre and what streaming services we use is generally covered. Now when music is a topic of conversations I will always say “scan my mug”. Yay! 🙂
