I’m finally getting around to adding guitar to my new Christmas song and I can’t get it to blend with the mix. It sounds like its completely separate and so far I have not found a plug-in or effect that helps. It’s been a few hours and I’m beginning to lose sight of my original plan for the guitar in this song. I would normally sit here trying for several more hours, but I know that putting down the guitar and going for a walk will reset my view. There’s so many things to do as a DIY artist that it’s easy to lose focus. Nature always helps!
The mp3 below is the song I am working on. Without drums it’s been really hard to balance the guitar and find the right effect and tone. I’m a little frustrated but I know I should be enjoying this process. That is when I need to step away for a bit.
