My new Christmas song is received 20 plays since it was released, and 11% of those plays were through Spotify algorithmic playlists. I haven’t seen much attention from the algorithmic playlist in the past. The Pandora radio algorithm seems to be going to town with both my new songs, but I haven’t yet figured out how to become friends with the Spotify algorithm. I’ve seen with TikTok that some songs I’ve uploaded will get about a thousand plays, but it seems that the Spotify algorithm is more picky. I’m always interested in how these algorithms work, so I’ll post updates as the plays progress it get closer to Christmas.
