Marketing my music with no budget

I have launched a plan into action to promote my music on Spotify using only free resources that make my songs look delicious to the Spotify algorithm. I am using only legitimate means during this experiment such as attracting the algorithm organically, promoting by word of mouth and posting on TikTok, and YouTube.

When more results come in from the promotion efforts and I have hard data to post I will share it here on this blog. The data will be directly from the Spotify for Artists app and will show growth since the promotion action plan started, or maybe it won’t show any growth at all and will be a complete flop. We will see!

I’ve read every book I could find on Amazon Kindle Unlimited related to algorithms, Spotify, music marketing, play-listing and a few self-help books to keep me motivated along the way. If I understand what I read correctly, I should be able to grow my Spotify playlists, get more streams for my songs and basically take over the world to music. The books make it seem so easy, yet all the other attempts that I’ve made at advertising were basically a waste of money. Can I really do all of this for free? Subscribe to the blog to see updated posts with statistics on how the experiment is going.

One thing to start with that I learned from and huge stack of books I read on the subject is that you need to set a goal to keep the momentum going. This experiment will begin tomorrow 02-11-24 and end on 02-11-25. One year to see if this can be done for free or is having a huge marketing budget the only way… The countdown posted below is set for one year. The timer will also be shared on other pages to make it easy to view. The two Spotify profiles I will be promoting are Sweet Fret, and Pure Evergreen. Sweet Fret is my sound effects artist account and Pure Evergreen is my music artist account. How much growth is possible in the one year time period? Which song will perform best in this experience? Will this test fail miserably?
